ドゥマゲテに来て驚いた事！ No.1 トイレにトイレットペーパーが流せない(泣)What surprised me when I came to Dumaguete was that I couldn’t flush toilet paper in the toilet.

初フィリピン！初海外親子留学！

最初は、何度日本に帰ろうと思ったことか、、。なんとか持ち堪えて住んでおります(笑)

そこで暫くは、ドゥマゲテに来て色々驚いた事を書こうと思います！

最初に来てビックリしたのは、まずトイレにトイレットペーパーが流せない事でした！

配管が詰まるからでしょうか！？自宅もモールのトイレにもトイレットペーパーは流せません。残念。。

そして、多くの現地の方はトイレにトイレットペーパーがない事も多いので、持参でティッシュペーパーを持ち歩いています。偶にトイレットペーパーそのまま持ち歩いている方も(笑)

最初は子供達が流してしまうのではと心配していましたが、意外と直ぐに慣れてゴミ箱に入れてくれるようになりました〜。

2、3回流す前に、「お母さーん、助けてー！」とトイレットペーパーを便器にポイした事はあり、使い捨のフォーク等ですっくたりした事もありましたが(笑)

後、外出先には日本のような便座がないトイレも多いので、女性の方は中腰で筋トレ状態のトイレとなります。

小さな女の子のいるご家庭は結構大変かも知れません。

学校のトイレも小さいお子さんや小学校低学年ぐらいまでは汚くて困ることも。。

ここは基本発展途上国、衛生概念がまだ乏しい感じはあります。

モールのトイレでも手を洗わず出ていかれる方を結構見かけます。

後、ハンドソープの無くなったままになっているトイレもあるので、気になる方はハンドソープを持ち歩ける容器に移し替えて携帯しておくと便利だと思います。

トイレの話をもう少しすると、日本ではほぼ見なくなった立ちションしている人を偶に見かけます。。

トライシクルの運ちゃんも急に止まったと思ったら・・なんて事も！

うちは、幼稚園の男の子がいるので、トイレに困っていると現地の人に、草むらや植木鉢を指して、そこでやっちゃえば何て言われた事もあり、そこでさせて頂きましたが、日本じゃぁ、もう無理ですよね。

衛生的にはダメなんだとは思いますが、小さい子連れには少し助かっています。で締めくくっていいのかな！

To talk a little more about the toilet,I see people standing and peeing,which I no longer see in Japan.

そして紙製品が日本より高い！

ティッシュ箱130枚〜150枚入りで１つ100円前後します。

日本のように5箱で纏めて売ってなく、大体一箱ずつ売っています。

唯一、ロビンソンモールの物が箱入りでなくプラスチックの入れ物3つで121ペソ(日本円でざっくり280円)で売っています。

これでも1つ150枚入りなので安い方だと思います。

トイレットペーパーも日本より高い印象です。

そしてトイレットペーパーの梱包の仕方が日本と違います！日本は大体4つずつ上に重ねて3段作って12個入りというのが一般的だと思うのですが、こちらでは、色々なやり方で売っていて、日本式なのはマイナーな印象です。5、6個1列に並べて3段とか、6個を2段とかが主流な感じです。

本当に海外来ると普段普通だと思っていた事が、違ったりして新鮮です。

何ヶ月かいると慣れては来ますが、今度は日本に行って違和感を感じるかも知れませんね！

First trip to Philippines!

First overseas parent and child study abroad!

In the beginning,I decided to return to Japan many times.

However,I have been living here without returning to Japan.

So I'm going to write a blog about my surprise since I came to Dumaguete.

The first thing that surprised me was that I couldn't flush the toilet paper in the toilet!

Can't flush the toilet paper into the toilet because the pipes can get clogged?

You can't flush toilet paper at home and in the mall toilets.

And many locals carry tissue because the toilet may not have toilet paper.

Occasionally,some people carry the toilet paper itself.😆

At first, I was worried that children would flush toilet paper into the toilet.

However, they quickly got used to it and put toilet paper in the trash.

Of course, during the first two or three times they accidentally put the toilet paper in the toilet and asked me for help.

Each time, I scooped toilet paper with a disposable fork.

In addition,there are many toilets that don't have toilet seats except in apartments.

Women need to toilet in a half-sitting posture.It's like muscle training.

Families with children of small girls may have trouble with the toilet.

School toilets are often dirty and some children don't want to use the school toilet.

Since this is a developing country, I think there are still some issues in hygiene.

Even in mall toilets, I often see people who don't wash their hands after the toilet.

There are many toilets where the hand soap is gone,so it may be useful to make the hand soap portable.
